Lona's City Limits Cantina
About This Spot
Stepping into Lona's City Limits Cantina feels like slipping into a well-loved neighborhood retreat where the familiar hum of conversation blends effortlessly with the rotating soundtrack of vibrant tunes from the jukebox. This is a spot where time slows just enough for you to settle in, whether you're here for the game on one of the several TVs, a friendly round of pool, or simply to savor the company of locals who’ve made this place their own. The atmosphere strikes a balance between laid-back and lively — an inviting refuge that welcomes a diverse crowd without pretense.
Behind the bar, the bartenders move with practiced ease, crafting drinks that feel thoughtfully mixed rather than rushed — from a crisp Michelada to a playful Mexican lollipop shot. The food here matches the spirit of the cantina perfectly: familiar, hearty, and made with care. You might find yourself drawn to the comforting warmth of homemade pozole on a Sunday or savoring tacos that reveal hints of home-cooked tradition wrapped in fresh tortillas. It’s the kind of menu that complements a night spent chatting across the table or cheering on your team on the big screen, rather than one that demands your full attention.
What makes Lona’s distinct is its genuine vibe — part upscale dive bar, part cherished local eatery — where the energy is friendly without ever being forced. Regulars and newcomers alike find themselves welcomed both by the staff’s easygoing professionalism and the mixed crowd that keeps things interesting. Whether you’re eyeing the chile verde fries or catching up with friends over a cold Modelo, there’s a settled rhythm here that encourages you to pause and savor the moment.
Seating options range from the cozy bar stools that put you in the heart of the action to quieter tables suitable for conversations that meander more slowly. And while parking might call for a little patience, the warm, lowkey environment inside quickly makes up for it — reminding you that some of the most memorable local experiences come without flash, but with plenty of heart.

Lona's is a great low-key pub with good vibe, good service, & good food. Good mix of people and you'll hear all different types of music on the internet juke box.

I love this place!! Always friendly servers. It’s an upscale dive bar. The food is great for bar food! Baked potatoes are my favorite!!! Taco Tuesday is worth it as always! Beer is always cold and the drinks are always tasty! They know what they’re doing here! Plenty of seating in the bar area and they have some tables to sit at if that’s more your speed!

Great food. All the food taste like homemade. The pozole on Sundays is one of a kind. I dont think they make enough pozole but its really good.

I usually stop in here on Fridays to play pool and have a beer or two. Getting a table isn't too tough (2 tables), the beer is good, the bartender is nice, and the food is delicious too. It's a good place to check out.

This place is amazing on taco tuesdays from eleven to 5 at one dollar each, Ninette Is a wonderful bartender and can handle the entire work flow from a crowded lunchtime by herself. Unbelievably. Also Albert, it is a great bar. Tender, and does a great job managing the crowded taco Tuesdays as he has worked in before. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop in and get tacos, even if it's not a Tuesday. At $2.50 if I'm not mistaken. And they're almost better than supermex.

Fun bar to hang out and food is good! Went to go eat a couple of tacos and have a drink. I also ordered albondigas soup. Delish!! Friendly staff and friendly patrons to chit chat with.
